When getting started with essential oils it is nice to start with essential oil sets, particularly when using them in an essential oil diffuser for aromatherapy. Having a selection to choose from allows you to try different aromas to find the one that works best for you.
Of course essential oils are good for far more than just aromatherapy!
Adding a few drops of a citrus or peppermint to your morning face wash really help wake you up in the morning. Put a couple drops in a bottle of water with a spray head and you have a great way to stay cool or freshen your room. Some even have pain relieving, anti-fungal, anti-bacteria properties, or can even repel ticks and dust mites (mix with a carrier oil before direct skin application).
It is amazing the uses you will discover for all the different oils in your set. All of the following are 100% pure essential oils and are in my opinion the best essential oil kits.
The best essential oil sets
The ArtNaturals Therapeutic-Grade Aromatherapy Essential Oil Gift Set – (12 x 10ml) is probably one of the best selling starter essential oil sets, with good reason. ArtNaturals Essential Oils are 100% Pure, unadulterated, therapeutic grade, and GC/MS tested. They are also certified vegan and cruelty free.
This organic essential oils starter kit is fantastic for any use, from direct application to use in aroma therapy and are bottled in the USA. Everyone I talk to who has this set just loves them, you will too!
The set includes pine needle, cinnamon, patchouli, lavender (an upgrade from the less expensive lemon set), lime, grapefruit, bergamont, rosemary, orange, eucalyputs, tea tree and tangerine.
The Natrogix Nirvana Essential Oils – Top 18 Essential Oils Set is a little larger at 18 bottles and a little more expensive but it is a very nice buy.
All 18 oils are GC/MS certified, and no pesticides, herbicides, GMOs or other additives are included. I love this kit because the bottles have easy to use droppers in them and the kit includes both lavender and peppermint, two that I use most often.
The set includes Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemongrass, Lemon, Moroccan Rosemary, Sweet Orange, Tea Tree, Peppermint, Turmeric Oil, Tangerine, Ylang Ylang, Basil, Cedarwood, Spearmint, Bergamot, Copaiba Balsam, Cinnamon Leaf.
The First Aid Essential Oil 12/10ml Set from Edens Garden is the most expensive per ml set so far but also one of the most potent around and is the first essential oil blend set. These are among the best smelling and longest lasting oils I have used. I would also recommend you mix them with a carrier oil before any use on your skin as they are quite strong.
While other essential oil sets sometimes come with recipes on common mixtures to alleviate specific issues, this set goes a step further and has some of those mixes already prepared and ready for use. Not only that, but it also includes regular oils that are very commonly used by themselves such as peppermint, lavender, and tea tree.
Included in this set is one each of 10 ml of Breathe Easier, Digest Ease, Eucalyptus (globulus), Fighting Five, Head Ease, Lavender, Lemon, Muscle Relief, Peppermint, Pest Defy, Sleep Ease and Tea Tree.
If you are looking for a smaller sampling of just the most often used oils, but want very high quality oils, then the Top 6 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Basic Aromatherapy Sampler Essential Oil Gift Set- 6/10 ml kit from Edens Garden is one you should definitely look at.
These are the same high quality oils as the kit above but only contain the six natural oils of Eucalyptus, Lavender (Bulgarian), Lemon, Peppermint, Sweet Orange and Tea Tree.
This Set of 14 oils from Renewed Health Oils is a pretty good bargain as it contains seven standard oils and seven very popular blends using their own formulations for those blends.
Personally I don’t think these are as good as the Edens Garden oils but you do get two more oils for the same price as the 12 kit from Edens Garden so it is a little better deal. I also like a couple of the blends here better than the others, although overall, I like the big Edens Garden essential oil sets. That isn’t to say these are bad in some way, they are still exceptionally good oils and you should be very happy with them, but we all have a favorite, no?
Included are 10ml bottles of Lavender, Eucalyptus (Globules), Lemon, Tea Tree, Peppermint, Lemongrass, Orange, Achy Breaky Blend (Clove, Peppermint, Helichrysum, Wintergreen), Adjust Blend (Spruce Rosewood, Chamomile, Frankincense, Roman Chamomile), Chill-Ax-In (Lemon, Rosemary, Lavender), Immu-Fighter (Lemon, Clove Bud, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon Bark), Thieves Pure & Clean (Myrtle, Lavender, Citronella, Rosemary, Lemongrass), Purification Stressy Lessy (Lemon, Orange, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang)
Any of these kits would be awesome as a starter set, or as a gift. There is not a bad oil in the bunch and I am pretty sure they are all organic essential oil kits as well. Having used all of these, and many others, I feel confident you will be happy with anything on this page.
I hope this article helps you find the best essential oil set for you!
